- About 40 minutes from Utica (NY-12B through Clinton and Oriskany Falls, or NY-12 through Waterville, then Route 20 west)
- Parking
- The promoter advertises parking at several fields without pricing it. Indian Opening Acres, a nine-acre field at 6811 Indian Opening Rd, charges $5 a day for a car or pickup and opens its public lot at 7 a.m.
- Reservations
- Nothing to book. Lodging in Cazenovia and the Butternut Hill campground fill during August week.
- Cost
- No admission price is published by the promoter for either the August week or the Holiday Stroll. The cost you can count on is parking — $5 a day at Indian Opening Acres. Bring cash: dealers vary on cards, and the ATM is outside the Indian Opening Acres office.
- Weather
- The show fields are outdoors and mostly unshaded. The permanent shops are indoors and are the wet-weather version of the same trip.
