The Uptown on Genesee Street opened on December 29, 1927 and is the oldest surviving theater in the city; it joined the National Register of Historic Places in August 2020. It now runs as the Uptown Theatre for Creative Arts — comedy and live performance — and screens no film. Its owners have said they intend to once the auditorium is fully usable. Source ↗
