1. What a listing is
- A recurring weekly offer at your venue on one night of the week. You may run several offers on the same night — happy hour, trivia and a food deal, say — and they appear together as one card for your venue that night.
- The listing appears on the /specials directory, the homepage "Tonight's Specials" board on its night, and your venue's page, and may be included in Mohawk Central's newsletter. Placement layout may change; the surfaces above are the intent, not a guarantee of position.
- A listing you send us carries the "Venue authorized" label because you attest to it — see §2. Listings we compile from a venue's own public posts are labeled "As posted" until the venue confirms them.
- We publish times exactly as you give them. If you don't set an end time we show "from 7 p.m."; if you give no times we show "All night." We won't invent a time you didn't state.
2. Your attestation
When you submit a special, you attest that:
- you own, manage, or are authorized to represent the venue;
- the special is accurate and currently offered as listed (night, times, price, conditions);
- the special is lawful for you to offer and to advertise in New York State, including any rules that apply to alcoholic-beverage promotions, and you — not Mohawk Central — are responsible for that compliance;
- you'll tell us promptly if the special changes or ends.
If you ask us to maintain the listing from your venue's public social posts, that permission stands until you withdraw it, and we'll email you before changing anything a post leaves ambiguous.
3. Cost
- Listing is free. There is no card on file, nothing to cancel, and no paid tier to upgrade to. The billing code that v1.0 anticipated was deleted on August 15, 2026.
- You can already post your specials free on your own Facebook page. Repeating them here costs you nothing either, and they carry into the Monday newsletter on the same terms.
- If that ever changes, it will be a new version of these terms with notice to every listed venue — and a listing would come down rather than become a bill.
4. Our role
- Mohawk Central is a directory, not the promoter of your special. We don't verify pricing or availability beyond your attestation, and readers are told where verification comes from.
- We may decline, edit, or remove any listing at our discretion — including for inaccuracy reports, legal concerns, or content that doesn't fit the site.
- "As posted" listings are compiled from venues' own public posts. Any venue may correct or remove its own listing at any time by emailing venues@mohawkcentral.com.
5. Liability
Listings are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mohawk Central's total liability related to a listing is limited to the amount you paid for it — which is nothing. You'll hold Mohawk Central harmless from claims arising from your special or its advertising, including alcohol-promotion compliance.
6. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes are versioned and emailed to venues with active listings at least 14 days before they take effect.
