1. What you're buying
- One recurring weekly special at one venue on one night of the week — a "night slot." A venue may hold at most one special per night; additional nights are separate subscriptions.
- The listing appears on the /specials directory, the homepage "Tonight's Specials" board on its night, and your venue's page, and may be included in Mohawk Central's newsletter. Placement layout may change; the surfaces above are the intent, not a guarantee of position.
- Listings are ads, and are labeled distinctly from editorial content. A paid listing carries the "Verified by the venue" label because you attest to it — see §2.
2. Your attestation
By purchasing, you attest — each month your subscription renews — that:
- you own, manage, or are authorized to represent the venue;
- the special is accurate and currently offered as listed (night, times, price, conditions);
- the special is lawful for you to offer and to advertise in New York State, including any rules that apply to alcoholic-beverage promotions, and you — not Mohawk Central — are responsible for that compliance;
- you'll update or cancel the listing promptly if the special changes or ends.
3. Billing
- Subscriptions are prepaid monthly, by card via Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled.
- Founding rate: $29/month per night slot. Rates may change; we'll give existing subscribers at least 30 days' email notice before a price change affects them. No future rate is promised.
- Cancel anytime from the billing portal (link on the claim page). Cancellation stops future charges; the listing runs through the paid period. Partial months aren't refunded.
- If a payment fails, we'll email you, and the listing stays up through the day of your special that week — then it pauses automatically until payment is updated. A paused slot may be released if it stays unpaid.
4. Our role
- Mohawk Central is a directory, not the promoter of your special. We don't verify pricing or availability beyond your attestation, and readers are told verification comes from the venue.
- We may decline, pause, or remove any listing at our discretion — including for inaccuracy reports, legal concerns, or content that doesn't fit the site. If we remove a listing for reasons other than your breach of these terms, we'll refund the unused portion of the current month.
- Unpaid, seeded listings ("As posted") are compiled from venues' own public posts and may be edited or removed at any time; they are not covered by these terms until claimed.
5. Liability
Listings are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mohawk Central's total liability related to a listing is limited to the amount you paid for it in the preceding three months. You'll hold Mohawk Central harmless from claims arising from your special or its advertising, including alcohol-promotion compliance.
6. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes are versioned and emailed to active subscribers at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing your subscription after that is acceptance.
